Q: What is grass-fed & grass-finished beef?
Red Barn’s grass-fed beef comes from our healthy beef cattle that are 100% grass fed. Our cattle eat grass from healthy soil and consume absolutely no hormones, antibiotics, or genetically modified grains. The beef is healthy and full of nutrients, and this goodness can come directly from our lush pastures to your dinner table!
Read more →Q: How do you cook grass-fed beef?
Grass-fed beef is lower in fat than grain fed beef, so it cooks faster. One common mistake is to overcook grass-fed beef. For steaks, we recommend aiming for 25% reduced cook time and removing from the heat source ~10 degrees less than your usual target temperature. We also like to brush grass-fed steaks with a little extra olive oil before throwing them on the grill. Other than that, you can cook it how you would cook with any other beef!

Your delicious 100% grass fed beef will be shipped in a 48 hour Thermal Box, with Uline cold packs, 2 Day ground shipping provided by FedEx. Shipments are sent on Tuesday each week. Quarters and Halves are hand delivered in VA, NC, MD, and DC.

Q: When will I receive my order?
We ship every Tuesdays with FedEx Ground (90% of orders will arrive next day). Please note: We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.
